Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a visitor enters a name or date of birth in a third-party search box, the query goes to the provider that operates that tool. The provider processes it under its own practices and sends back its result. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If someone emails the site or sends a message, the message is kept so a reply can be sent. It remains within the site’s team unless a legal duty requires disclosure. Do not send sensitive case papers or private identifiers to this site. It cannot look up or change a court record.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, technical information may be recorded about the visit, such as:
- The device’s IP address.
- Browser type and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring site, if one was present.
- Time stamps for page visits.
Cookies and Analytics
Small cookie files may be placed on a device so analytics can measure page use, traffic, and where visitors leave the site. Browser controls can block cookies, though some site features may then work differently. Analytics services may receive visit details to produce aggregate reports.
What We Do With This Data
Information connected with a visit may be used to:
- Keep the pages operating and improve load time.
- Pass a search query to the outside provider that runs the search box.
- Learn which pages visitors use and which need improvement.
- Find and address technical errors.
- Display advertising that may reflect a visitor’s interests.
No Warrant Data on File
Marshall County Warrant Records does not host, build, or sell a database of warrants or individual warrant histories. The site offers general information about where Marshall County records are held and how to ask the Circuit Court Clerk, city court, or Sheriff’s Department about an existing record. It is not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
The Tennessee Public Records Act, including Tenn. Code Ann. §10-7-503, concerns access to existing records held by public offices. It does not give this private website access to county warrant files or require a government office to create a combined warrant search. Juvenile, sealed, and restricted records may remain unavailable.
The Circuit Court Clerk and the office named on a citation are the proper routes for a court record.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search tools on some pages are supplied by outside businesses. Information typed into a partner’s tool is handled under that partner’s privacy terms, not this policy. Providers set their own retention and sharing practices; this site does not control them. Review the provider’s notice before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Pages may link to county offices, courts, state systems, legal-aid resources, and commercial search partners. Following a link takes the visitor to another organization. Its privacy rules apply there. Read those rules before sharing personal information.
Advertising partners may also use their own systems to track activity across websites for ad selection. That activity is not controlled by this site.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold by this site. Depending on how a visitor uses the pages, information may be handled by:
- A search provider receiving a query.
- Analytics services measuring site use.
- Advertising networks that place ads.
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal order.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security steps are used to protect information collected by the site. No internet service can promise perfect security. The site works to reduce risk but cannot guarantee that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact the site so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Available privacy rights depend on the law that applies to a person and the organization holding the information. A visitor may ask this site what information it has about a message, request a correction, ask for deletion, or object to certain processing. Those requests do not reach search partners or public agencies, which have separate policies.
For government-held warrant or court records, use the Tennessee Public Records Act process and contact the office that maintains the record. Tenn. Code Ann. §10-7-503 does not make private search-provider data public and does not override court rules, seals, juvenile confidentiality, or other access limits.
Updates to This Policy
The privacy policy may be revised as site practices change. A new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Visitors who want to follow changes should review this page from time to time.
Effective date: September 23, 2026.
